Shikshan Sahay Education Assistance Scheme Gujarat Rules
- To avail the benefits of the scheme, the construction worker has to apply in the prescribed format and within the prescribed time limit. The application should be submitted within three months from the admission in each academic year.
- Supporting documents to verify admission, such as a certificate from the principal of the educational institution or admit card, must be submitted along with the application.
- For admission to the hostel, a certificate signed by the Rector/Warden of the concerned hostel or the authorized person of the institution should be provided.
- This educational assistance will be given only to sons/daughters and wives (with an age limit of 30 years) of construction workers who have taken admission in educational institutions/schools/colleges recognized by the government.
- Only two dependent children of the construction worker and spouse (with age limit of 30 years) will be eligible for this financial assistance.
- Children of construction workers studying as outstation students in Government recognized institutions/colleges will also be eligible for educational assistance following the existing norms.
- In addition, children of construction workers enrolled in the National Institute of Open Schooling are eligible for educational assistance.
- If a student fails once in an academic year/semester, they can avail this assistance for the next year/semester for the same standard/class. However and this assistance will be limited to one trial only. If a student fails for the second time in the same standard/class, they will not be eligible for further financial aid for that standard/class.
